RYE student: Julianne Hjellup’s presentation

Last week Julianne Hjellup, our exchange student from Norway, spoke about her country, culture, food, the northern lights and her home town Strommen, which interested members. Meanwhile, Sergeant Athol wasn’t allowed to get away with his normal antics last week. New member, Elly, took centre stage and turned the tables on the Sergeant.

Making a difference in the lives of many people

Not only, Mudgee Rotarians give 100% from fundraising events, but also contribute their own money to various causes, from health, education, youth, natural disasters and many more. Moreover, we volunteer our time to help communities in need.

This year, our club prioritises on projects that benefit and change the lives of many people.

Membership diversity

Our club has always welcomed people from various professions, skills, beliefs and views.  These people believe in doing common good while having fun. Membership diversity is one of the focus area of this year RI presidential theme, to help driving Rotary as the premier service club in the world.

Literacy and Numeracy

Young people are the future of our country and the world. But we are living in the world that change rapidly, that basic numeracy and literacy skills have declined to a concerning level.

Our club has contributed significantly in this areas last year and will continue to fight against the declining numeracy and literacy skills among young people.
